I acted in this project as a UI/UX designer and Front-end developer.

I utilized AdobeXD for wireframes, and JavaScript (React, Redux) and HTML/CSS (Bootstrap) for the front-end.

Product

The Holler Web App was created as an project during my time as a SWE intern at the startup, Holler. It is a web application intended to allow integrators and company employees to view all content created by Holler Studios, flag, star, and suggest new tagging for their respective integrations.

I worked with one other SWE intern to complete stage 1 of the project in a 3 month timeframe.

Key Features: Recommendation search feature, view all content, star desired content

Process

I created wireframes using AdobeXD to submit to the Product team and my manager to approve before moving foward. After a few iterations, I helped organize the project on Github Projects.

I first implemented the all-content search and starring, followed by mimicking the Holler recommendation algorithm on the web app. I learned how to build out URLs to display stickers, and then worked on refining the algorithm's efficiency.

Some things I learned from the project are:

Creating tickets is a useful way to measure process and effort needed
Always touch base with your team at the end of the day with your progress

Outcome

The starring and recommendation features of the app were completed, allowing users to select stickers they liked and test out the recommender on an online setting.

There is no Demo or Code available due to a NDA.
